With Husband Awaiting Surgery
Well, I am happy to report that I made it through back surgery this week and am looking forward to being mobile again soon.  As some of you know, I had a ruptured disc in my spine along with a bone on bone disc and have been waiting for surgery.  I started having pain back in August and it increasingly got worse and worse until I was laid out the month of October (except for a few days I could function on steroids).

I'm currently in recovery and in a lot of pain, but am able to sit in a chair for the first time in a long time.  Yay!  I have had amazing support from my friends and family and feel so blessed to have a community of such loving people.  So many people have brought in meals, flowers, texted, gifts, picked up my kids, sat with me and just talked, and daily checked up on me.   I told my husband, my love language must be "acts of service" because every time someone shows up at the door with food for my family, my heart is touched deeply.  I remember when I was having my children and my faith community would bring food in - but it's been a long time since I was so pampered.

So, if you are one of the treasures that have given yourself so lovingly to me and my family . . . Thank you!  ❤
