The Generations

Today I've been asked to sit on a Panel and discuss the Generations.  Thankfully, I am rocking it with two of my favorites Ellie & Ryeo - could get silly! :-)  So, if you are in the area, come out and join us tonight.

But seriously, in praying and thinking about the generations, I made a declaration and thought I would share it with you.  Feel free to join me in declaring this over the generations before and behind . . .

Generation Declaration

The Lord sits enthroned forever and His name, endures forever, His renown through all generations.  How great are His signs, how mighty His wonders!  His kingdom; His dominion endures from generation to generation.  His mercy extends to those who fear Him, from generation to generation.

God, thank you that Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures through all generations.  You, Lord, are trustworthy in all your promises and faithful in all you do.  Your plans stand firm forever and the purposes of your heart through all generations.  For you, Lord are good and your love endures forever and your faithfulness continues through all generations.

I decree and declare, our children will live in your presence; their descendants will be established before You, Lord.  Our children will be mighty in the land; the generation of the upright will be blessed of the Lord.  One generation commends your works to another; they tell of your mighty acts.  They speak of the glorious splendor of your majesty and meditate on your wonderful works.  They tell of the power of your awesome works and proclaim your great deeds.  They celebrate your abundant goodness and joyfully sing of your righteousness.

You said, “I will establish my covenant as an everlasting covenant between me and you and your descendants after you for the generations to come, to be your God and the God of your descendants after you." You said, “The days are coming,  when I will make a new covenant with the people of Israel and with the people of Judah.”          I decree and declare that day has come!  The Lord, God Almighty as made a new covenant through the blood of Jesus!  An everlasting covenant for the generations to come!        Jesus is the mediator of a new covenant!  Jesus has broken down every dividing wall.  For in Christ Jesus, you who once were far away have been brought near through His blood.   For he himself is our peace, and has destroyed every barrier.  For through Him we have access to the Father by one Spirit.  Christ Jesus is our chief cornerstone.  In Him, every generation is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord.  And in Him, we are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.

I decree and declare, the mystery that has been kept hidden for ages and generations, is now disclosed to you.  The glorious riches of this mystery, is Christ in you, the hope of glory!  For you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to the Lord, that you will show the praises of Him who called you out of darkness and into his marvelous light!  The Lord will make you an everlasting pride and the joy of all generations.  You will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated; You will renew the ruined cities that have been devastated for generations.

Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and ever!  Amen.
